Canadian Packaging Highlights Hoffer’s Sustainable Champion of the Year Recognition
Canadian Packaging recently shared the news that Hoffer was named Sustainable Champion of the Year by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, highlighting the company’s longstanding focus on environmental stewardship and measurable impact.
For Hoffer, those practices are delivering measurable results, including:
- Diverting more than 360,000 pounds of material from landfills annually
- Reducing carbon emissions by 35% between 2022 and 2025
- Cutting water consumption by 50% through a closed-loop filtration system
- Helping customers reduce material use through lightweighting and the incorporation of post-consumer recycled resin
The recognition celebrates manufacturers that successfully integrate sustainable practices, environmental responsibility and innovative technology into their operations. The IMA Sustainable Champion of the Year Award builds on Hoffer’s growing recognition for sustainable manufacturing, including the Illinois Governor’s Sustainability Award in 2024 and the VIA Spark Award for Social Responsibility in 2025.
