How do I choose the right injection molding company?

Choosing the right injection molding company depends on engineering capabilities, quality standards, production capacity and opportunities for long-term partnership alignment. When evaluating a custom injection molder, consider the following:

  • In-house engineering and DFM support.
  • Tooling and mold maintenance capabilities.
  • Quality certifications and inspection processes.
  • Experience in your specific industry.
  • Scalability with your production volumes.
  • Secondary services such as assembly and automation.

A qualified injection molder should function as a strategic partner – helping improve part design, reduce cost and ensure consistent production performance. At Hoffer, we’re guided by core values of family, integrity, service and trust to guide our partnerships, going All In to be an innovative, responsible injection molding partner to companies.

Does Hoffer Plastics manage tooling or do I need my own mold?

Hoffer Plastics supports customers throughout the entire tooling lifecycle, from early design for manufacturability (DFM) collaboration through production launch and ongoing maintenance. For new projects, our engineering team works closely with your team and experienced toolmaking partners to ensure molds are optimized for performance, durability and long-term production efficiency. If you already own molds, we specialize in evaluating, transferring and validating molds with a staff of 27 toolmakers and three on-site toolrooms.

Whether you bring us existing tooling or partner with Hoffer to develop new molds, we are committed to operating responsibly to maximize your investment in tooling with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and rigorous preventative tooling maintenance that elevates quality while extending tool life.

How do you ensure consistent part quality?

Hoffer Plastics ensures consistent part quality through controlled processes, rigorous validation and ongoing production monitoring. We continually invest in our operations to drive efficiency and the highest levels of quality for all programs. From annual reinvestment in new injection molding machines to superior water system infrastructure to on-site co-generation to avoid power outages, we are committed to delivering consistent quality at scale.

Our team integrates engineering oversight, mold maintenance and process control to maintain repeatability from initial sampling through full-scale production. Quality efforts include documented process parameters, dimensional inspection, preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

By managing engineering, tooling support and injection molding operations under one roof, Hoffer Plastics maintains tighter control over part performance, consistency and long-term reliability.
